Welcome to HUMN.
Today, I work deeply with nervous system regulation, supporting people navigating - mental health challenges
- stress disorders
- addictions & detox
- concussions/post concussion syndrome
- traumatic brain injuries
- overwhelm and burnout.
I work with both acute and chronic injuries: guiding athletes and active humans from rehab back to sport with intention and care.
I work with women through hormone shifts, cycle health, perimenopause, and everything in between.
My approach is structured but never rigid. Clinical, yet deeply humn.
Programs are thoughtfully sequenced to support regulation, tissue healing, and brain recovery over time, not just symptom relief in isolated appointments. Care extends beyond the treatment room with guided practices, tracking, and tools that help you build resilience between sessions to help you feel seen, held, and supported throughout your process.
Healing here is collaborative. It honors the intelligence of the nervous system, and the innate wisdom of the body as one continual system, the physiology of recovery, and the emotional layers that come with injury and change.
This space exists so you can feel steady enough to rebuild, supported enough to return, and safe enough to move forward, whether that’s back to sport, back to rhythm, or simply back to yourself.
Who we are
Hey you,
I'm Riley,
The owner/founder/practitioner of this thing.
After years of owning a clinic in Ucluelet, BC, while practicing acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine, Massage, Craniosacral, and Reiki therapies, I noticed a common pattern: people seeking care often feeling unsure about what they need, which treatments matter, how to track progress or whether progress is even possible. Too often, care felt like a series of isolated appointments treating isolating issues, leaving the body seen as separate entities, the nervous system unsupported between sessions, and people simply frustrated.
After taking a bout of forced time away from practice due to a bonk to the head, I have had the space to reassess and think about what is important to me, what has been missing, and how I saw myself sharing my work with the world, with you.
These last few years changed me. They asked me to slow down in ways I never had before. To listen more carefully to my body. To confront my triggers and habits, and patterns. To understand the nervous system not just as something I treat, but something I live inside of — something I protect and patiently rebuild a relationship with every day.
And this is where the deeper work began. Where my trust of everything I've learned was put to the test. Where I became the guinea pig of my practice in real time.
I learned to slow down not as a concept, but as a survival skill. I learned regulation not as a technique, but as a daily practice. I learned that a regulated nervous system is crucial to progression. That healing is not linear, and that resilience is built in small, steady returns to safety.
I tell you this to let you know I have been where you are. Maybe not situationally exact, but I'm sure there's a connection somewhere.
I understand the fear and frustration of not knowing if your body or brain will respond the way it used to, and lacking guidance on how to manage that.
I share this with you so you know that alongside my education, is a lived experience and an opportunity to put theories, supplements, and education to the test.
That experience is why I created HUMN.
I'm so glad you're here.
Warm hugs,
Riley Hole.
