Hotspot is a single-use warming patch that sticks where you want warmth: shoulders, back, hips, wherever you carry your day. Inspired by traditional Chinese medicine’s long use of warmth, and made for modern bodies.

What’s in it

Materials: Ai Ye (Mugwort), Bai Zhi (Dahurian Angelica Root), Niu Xi (Achyranthes Root), Bai Shao (White Peony Root), Rou Gui (Cinnamon Bark), Gan Jiang (Dried Ginger), Hong Hua (Safflower), Xi Xin (Wild Ginger / Asarum), Mo Yao (Myrrh), Bing Pian (Borneol), Zhang Nao (Camphor), Bo He Nao (Menthol), La Jiao (Chili Pepper / Capsicum), An Shu Xiang (Eucalyptus)

How to use

1. Open the pack and remove the patch.

2. Peel the backing and place the patch on clean, dry, intact skin. Rub down sides to ensure adhesion.

3. Wear for up to 10 hours. Remove it if it feels too hot or uncomfortable.

4. Remove gently, using water or oil if the adhesive holds on. Dispose of the used patch in the garbage.

Use one patch at a time, and no more than 2 per 24 hours.

Please don’t use Hotspot

• On broken, irritated, sunburned, or sensitive skin

• Over open wounds, rashes, or recent injuries

• While sleeping or lying on it, or with pressure on the patch

• On children under 12

• If you can’t feel heat or pain normally, or have poor circulation

If you’re pregnant, have a medical condition, or aren’t sure, check with a health professional first.

Stop using it if

The patch feels too hot, or you notice redness, itching, blistering, or discomfort. Remove it, rinse the area, and see a health professional if symptoms continue. Then let us know at hello@wearehumn.ca.

Storage

Keep patches in their pouch in a cool, dry place away from direct heat or sun. Keep out of reach of children.

Why we made it

We put our bodies through a lot. Surfing, lifting, trails, desks, Tuesdays. Hotspot is one simple thing that fits into the day, so you can keep going and feel good in your body.

Hotspot is for external use only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. 

We want you to feel good about your Hotspot. If something’s not right, here’s how we’ll make it right.

Unopened boxes

You can return an unopened, sealed box within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the product price. Original shipping is non-refundable.

Opened boxes

Because Hotspot patches are worn on the skin, we can’t accept returns of opened boxes or used patches, for hygiene and safety reasons.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect orders

If your box arrives damaged, a patch is defective, or we sent the wrong item, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we’ll send a replacement or refund you in full upon receiving the product back, your choice. Please include your order number and a photo of the box and patches. You won’t pay for return shipping on these orders.

If a patch doesn’t agree with your skin

If you have irritation or any other reaction, remove the patch and stop using it. If it’s uncomfortable or doesn’t go away, check with a health professional. Then email us at hello@wearehumn.ca with your order number so we can look into it.

How to start a return

1. Email hello@wearehumn.ca with your order number and the reason for your return.

2. We’ll reply within 3 business days with return instructions and the return address.

3. Ship the sealed box back. Unless the return is due to our error, return shipping is paid by you. We suggest using a tracked service, as we can’t be responsible for returns that get lost in transit.

   
   

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll email you to confirm. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Your bank may take a little longer to post it.

Cancellations

Need to cancel an order? Email us before it ships and we’ll cancel it for a full refund. Once an order has shipped, the return process above applies.

Exceptions

Gift cards and promotional or sale items are final sale.

Where we ship

We currently ship within Canada. If your country isn’t listed yet, email us at hello@wearehumn.ca and we’ll let you know when we expand.

Processing time

Orders are packed and shipped within 1 to 3 business days after payment. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. During launch weeks and busy periods, it may take a little longer, and we’ll email you if so.

Free shipping on orders over $150.

Tracking

You’ll get an email with a tracking number once your order ships. If you don’t see it within 5 business days of ordering, check your spam folder, then email us.

Your address

Please double-check your address at checkout. We can’t redirect or reship orders once they’ve been sent to an address you entered incorrectly. If a package is returned to us because of an incorrect address, we can reship it once you cover the shipping cost again.

Customs, duties, and taxes

Prices shown are in CAD. For orders outside Canada, your country may charge customs fees, duties, or import taxes at delivery. These are set by your local customs office and aren’t included in our price. They’re your responsibility, and we can’t predict the amount.

Lost, delayed, or damaged packages

• Delayed: if your tracking hasn’t updated in 7 days or your order is more than 7 business days late, email us and we’ll investigate with the carrier.

• Lost: if the carrier confirms it’s lost, we’ll replace or refund your order.

• Damaged: email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the box. See our Returns & Refunds page for next steps.

  
  

Weather and seasonal delays

Winter storms, wildfire smoke, and ferry or highway closures can slow deliveries, especially in remote or coastal areas. We’ll keep you updated if we see a delay on our end.

Packaging

Keep your patches somewhere dry and away from direct heat.
